How this list works

Every gift above is something you can buy from a Chicago shop in this guide. Each price was checked on the shop's own site on October 30, 2026, and we left out anything sold out. Prices and stock change through the season, so the shop's page always has the final word.

The picks come from three neighborhoods: Andersonville, where three shops sit within a block of each other on N Clark St; Lincoln Square, a short ride west; and Pilsen, on the Lower West Side.

Andersonville: games, earrings and a tee

Transit Tees (5226 N Clark St) has the El board game, a Chicago street-food puzzle and mirror Bean earrings. Down the block, RAYGUN (5207 N Clark St) sells a $3.50 Chicago magnet, and Strange Cargo (5216 N Clark St) has a tee for Chicago's pope.

Lincoln Square: hats, prints and a crewneck

Midwest Nice (4619 N Lincoln Ave) designs and prints its Chicago snapback in the city, and sells Natalie Walser's hot dog print, a Lincoln Square crewneck and a Northside sticker.

Pilsen: chocolate and Chicago records

Chocolat Uzma (917 W 18th St) makes chocolates with South Asian spices; our picks are the 12-piece box, the Desi collection, marshmallow bears and the Signature hatbox. Nearby, 606 Records (1808 S Allport St) stocks new vinyl from Chicago artists, including a reissued 1984 Chicago house LP and CUTSHAW's debut.

Lincoln Square: toys

Timeless Toys (4749 N Lincoln Ave) has a 20-inch Gingersnap teddy and a snowy-village train puzzle for the kids.
