The story
Woodfield Mall is a two-level enclosed mall in Schaumburg, in the Golf Rd and Martingale Rd area, with nearly 280 stores and restaurants under one roof. Nordstrom, Macy's, JCPenney and Primark are the anchors.
It is easiest to think of it in wings. The upper level of the Nordstrom Wing holds the newer brands: Apple, Aritzia, Zara, lululemon, Vuori and BOSS. The Grand Court in the middle has Sephora, ALO and Coach. The Dining Pavilion Wing, by Entrances 4 and 5, is the family end, with the LEGO Store, Build-A-Bear and Peppa Pig World of Play. It suits a full day of brand-name shopping, especially with kids along.
What to Expect
Start at the Nordstrom end. Entrance 7, off the upper-level parking deck, puts you beside Anthropologie for women's clothing and home goods, with Martin Lawrence Galleries across the way. Farther along the upper level, Zara sits across from Aritzia, Vuori's performance and casual wear is next to Urban Outfitters, and lululemon and Apple share the stretch by the Entrance 3 patio. Kendra Scott is near Warby Parker, and BOSS is next to Lacoste in a run of menswear with TravisMatthew and Tommy Bahama.
In the upper-level Grand Court, Sephora is next to ALO's yoga and athleisure, and Coach's handbags are next to Tumi's luggage, with Michael Kors and Pandora a few doors away near Entrance 6. Downstairs, Garrett Popcorn Shops is in the Grand Court near Entrance 1, UNIQLO's basics and Rally House's team gear are in the lower JCPenney Wing, and Pop Mart sells collectible blind-box toys near Bath & Body Works by Entrance 2. At the far end, Primark sells low-price fashion and homeware on the upper level by Entrance 4, the LEGO Store is next to Skechers, and H&M spans both levels by Entrance 5.
Best Time to Visit
Mall hours are 10am to 8pm Monday through Thursday, 10am to 9pm Friday and Saturday, and 11am to 6pm Sunday. Anchors and restaurants can keep different hours, and the store listings we checked did not post individual hours, so call ahead for a specific shop. Mall walkers can get in early, at 8am on weekdays and Saturdays and 9am on Sundays. With small children, come in the morning: the free Children's Play Park in the Grand Court near Macy's closes daily at 2:30pm for cleaning.
If You Only Have an Hour
Park by the Entrance 3 patio next to the Improv Comedy Club and stay upstairs. Start at Apple and lululemon, cross to Aritzia and Zara, then stop in at Vuori. Finish in the Grand Court at Sephora and ALO, both close to the same entrance.
Where to Eat
The mall lists eight sit-down restaurants. The Cheesecake Factory is on the upper level of the JCPenney Wing, across from Uncle Julio's. P.F. Chang's and Texas de Brazil sit on either side of Entrance 4 in the Dining Pavilion Wing. For a snack to go, Garrett Popcorn Shops is on the lower level of the Grand Court.

Parking and transit.
- PParkingOver 10,000 free surface spaces around six main entrances, with 30-minute express pickup parking in lots N, K and C, EV charging in lot N and motorcoach parking in lot G. Pace buses stop at Entrance 1 (Lower Level, between JCPenney and Nordstrom), and the Pace Northwest Transportation Center just south of the mall on Kimberly Dr is served by routes 208, 554, 600, 604, 606, 607 and the 905 Woodfield Trolley; there is no CTA service, and the nearest Metra stations are Roselle, Arlington Heights and Arlington Park.
